Niagara Falls and Winery Tour -- April 8, 2000
We
have arranged a special day tour to Niagara Falls for CFP2000 participants and
their friends on Saturday, April 8. Please register by March 28, 2000.
Description of the Tour:
Explore one of the seven natural
wonders of the world - Niagara Falls. The participants will be picked
up from the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel by a deluxe coach for the 1
½ hour trip to Niagara Falls. Enroute a professional guide will
entertain them with information pertaining to the natural geography of
the region and some interesting trivia about Toronto and Niagara
Falls.
Once at the falls, they will have the opportunity to see the
thundering water coming down the Horseshoe Falls, incredible views,
beautifully cultivated gardens and much more. They will journey behind
the falls through a series of underground tunnels and view the gushing
water at incredible speed and left mesmerized by the sheer force of
nature.
Lunch will be served at the Table Rock Restaurant that is located
right by the falls. After lunch they will proceed by motor coach to
the Butterfly Conservatory and marvel at one of North America's
largest collection of free flying butterflies. The next stop will be a
visit to Hillebrand Estates Winery. This winery is the leading
producer of premium VQA wines, located in the heart of Ontario's wine
region. Upon arrival at the winery the group will be given a VIP Tour
of the vineyards, oak aging room and underground cellar as well as
tasting 2 VQA wines.
After this tour time permitting a stop will be made at
Niagara-on-the-Lake for a short shopping stop. Niagara-on-the-Lake's
beautiful setting at the mouth of the Niagara River as well as its
19th century ambiance has helped earn its reputation as being
"Ontario's Prettiest Town"
After a leisurely afternoon, the motor coach will return to Toronto
taking the group back to the Westin Harbour Castle.
