Scholarships
Students
In order to make it possible for more full-time students to attend
the CFP2000 conference, we will award a limited number of student
stipends to pay for travel, accommodation expenses, and registration
fees. Students who receive stipends will be asked to write brief
articles about one or two conference sessions. To apply for a stipend,
please download the application form
and submit it via postal mail. Applications must be received by
January 31. Student stipends are funded by a generous grant from the
USENIX Association.
Law Enforcement Officials, Prosecutors, and Criminal Defense
Attorneys
The CFP conference has a long tradition of being a
meeting place of hackers, law enforcement, journalists, government
officials, and net.heads. To ensure that this tradition is kept alive
at CFP2000, the conference will award three scholarships to qualified
Feds and criminal defense attorneys. Federal, state or local law
enforcement officials, DA’s, prosecutors, and criminal defense
attorneys may apply. Please send an estimate of the expense you will
need to cover your trip to CFP 2000 including registration, air fare,
and hotel accommodations, along with a short biography and any other
relevant material to cfp@mindshare.net by January
31. Please note: scholarships are specifically designed to allow
individuals to attend whose parent organization will not provide the
funding for conference attendance. You are not expected to
participate on any panels, just come provide the balance we believe is
necessary for a successful CFP. Scholarships are funded by a generous
grant from mindshare Internet
Campaigns LLC.
